통통이, or Tongtongy, (pronounced TOHNG-tohng-ee) in Korean means "chubby". Made in Los Angeles, tongtongy was created by two friends who had one dream: to live their ultimate puffy fantasy! Inspired by all things soft, squishy, and chubby, tongtongy was born out of our love for playful, cozy home goods that make your space feel like a giant, huggable marshmallow. Made in Los Angeles and crafted with sustainable, upcycled materials, we’re here to help you embrace the fluff and bring a little extra comfort (and a lot of personality) into your home—because who doesn’t want to live their best, puffiest life?

At Tongtongy, our mission is rooted in sustainability and creativity. We believe in giving preloved fabrics a second life while crafting unique, handmade pieces that bring comfort and style to your home. Through imagination and care, we aim to reduce waste, inspire conscious living, and make timeless design accessible to all. 

A core part of Tongtongy's mission is to give back to the community. That's why a portion of our profits is dedicated to supporting Habitat for Humanity, an organization that also believes everyone deserves a place to call home. 

 

 

Janet (left) – is a Korean-American artist based in Los Angeles. Her artistic vision focuses on finding beauty in everyday objects, and she brings her love for shapes, color and playfulness into every project. With a background in fine art and retouching, her expertise in these fields allows her to bring a refined eye for composition, texture, and color to her work. She finds inspiration in everyday objects and strives to blend artistry with functionality.

Janice (right) – is a Korean-American designer also based in Los Angeles with a passion for sustainability and fashion. With a background in graphic design and a love for all things creative, she blends thoughtful design with eco-conscious practices to craft items that are both beautiful and purposeful.

Together, Janice and Janet combine their talents to create pieces that are as fun as they are functional, celebrating individuality and sustainability in every detail.
